Recently I came across this song by Des’ree. As I listened to the words, it captured my attention. Besides the state we are all currently experiencing, around the world, it brings up a lot of emotions. Are these emotions the answer to dealing with all the negativity?
Chorus.

Thinking.
This got me thinking and, if you are a regular here, you’ll know where I’m going – back to the past… How far back, who knows? I would think that no matter what is happening, it happened to our ancestors. The issue we deal with is, it’s in our face immediately… Where our ancestors would hear of “things” much later and be able to deal with the situation as it was drip-fed. Sadly, we are bombarded endlessly by everything from everywhere.
Act.
Anyone and everyone wants to be in the act. Some go way over the top to embellish the truth. Others just lie right out there and appear not to care of what is said or even how it is interpreted. Some days, it’s like I want to slip off this planet with all this stupidity and absurdity.
One question comes to mind – why? Of course, someone will answer this!
I reflect on how ancestors dealt with the two World Wars. How did it affect their well-being? Their understanding of what was going on. The why, of nearly everything…
Face.
I get it, some want their face plastered all around the world.
They believe they are important.
Some days they need to breathe and look in the mirror.
Ask, “What is it that I see?”
I’ll let you ponder on this…
Influence.
My ancestors, who came to Australia, both by sailing and steamer ship, endured a lot. They hung in there. They were in one place where they may have found comfort. Then decided, with the influence of “advertising”, to take that huge step and travel to the other side of the world. Different climate. Different environment. Maybe not knowing anybody. They dug in and here we are…
Blame.
For me, what I see is the blame game.
One is better than the other.
If you don’t like what’s said, just roll-over and become a puppet of society.
If you rebel or resist, you seem to come out to be the bad one.
If you sit in silence, you are the bad one…
Lyrics.
How about taking the words from the song “You Gotta Be” literally and moving through them.
Yes, I’m referring to ALL of them: “Badder, Bolder, Wiser, Harder, Tougher, Stronger, Cooler, and Calmer.”
It doesn’t take much to move out of any rut. Just look back at how your ancestors most likely dealt with the situations thrown at them.
Rule of Law.
Of course, most followed the rule of law.
They still would have been questioning so as to understand what is going on.
Do we just sit back and take everything we are told?
Me – I don’t. I used to, but where did it get me?
And, that’s another story.
Opportunity.
When you get given an opportunity, what do you do? I’m not answering that, else we’d never get anywhere. You will have those who say and believe this and that. Whilst others say, that and this. You get your 15 minutes of fame.
Oh, you get others who enjoy these minutes of fame and continue on and on and on!
Oh please, get me a bucket!

Ancestor Family 
This posting was written a few months ago before the world got even crazier… it seems my mind was in turn with what was about to occur… the next couple of post will run on from this one… again, at the time, I had no idea… It’s weird how our mind knows stuff before we really do… Has this happened to you?
